![]() I then came across Macrium Reflect Server, a UK developed product with a reasonable price point which, after testing, have found to be easy to setup/use, with "proper" ReFS support, flexible scheduling options and which is efficient in terms of backup speed, space usage and server impact (at least in my scenario). Many server backup products are not really designed/priced for single-server home office scenarios, and I therefore tested a number of "reasonably priced" products finding that many had their own limitations including limited scheduling, overly complex (for my needs) setup and management, or limited support for ReFS (needing bit-by-bit copies of ReFS partitions). Not specifically a question, but some experience which may be useful to others.Īlthough WSEE provides a wrapper for the Windows Server Backup tool, which may be sufficient for many, I found it had too many limitations for use on my home server (with 7TB of data including client backups, and which provides media-streaming) in terms of backup time, disk space and processor utilisation and the limits of a single backup scheme and schedule.
